is coming along slowly but surely. This semester has proved to be much more challenging than the past. My work load is tremendous, so much so that I hardly work any hours, thus not making enough money to pay my tuition monthly.
I have just set up a shop on Society 6 if you would like to purchase any of my work :)

Again, all the money from these purchases will be going to fund my education. Double whammy; you get cool artwork and I get to pay for schooling that teaches me how to make more cool artwork!

Okay, well I didn’t last too long on this site. I have, however, continued with my education in Graphic Design. I’m now finishing my 2nd year and loving it, though it is a challenge.

Going through school I’ve been growing up into adulthood and realizing and facing the challenges of life. One, primarily, being monetary struggles. Though I have been blessed with scholarships, loans, and work study, it is still barely enough to get me by. With $500 tuition bills each month on top of other living expenses, money is tight, as I’m sure it is with a lot of you.
I often brainstorm on how to make more money, but am usually at a loss. So, in an attempt to pay my bills, I’m asking for your help. Even if you just contributed a single dollar, it would help me out tremendously. Who hasn’t been in my position before? Can you spare a dollar to help a college student secure her future? I’m okay with any other suggestions and tips you may have! I’m a hard worker and don’t want to be in debt after college.

Today after work I’m going to go on a photo excursion with a friend. We’ll probably go downtown. I’ll post some photos tonight :)
I’ve been looking into selling things on Etsy and I’d really like to start doing that although I’m hesitant to begin. I think I just need to take a leap and go for it.

Well, I guess I should introduce myself. I’m an 18 year old photographer from St. Louis. I guess I’m not really a photographer, but I’ve been into photography ever since I was about 7 years old. It’s been a life-long passion. I have tens of thousands of photos; digital and prints.
This weekend I bought my first DSLR, a canon rebel xs. I’m hoping to make a return on my investment, and sell some of my prints. I’m not sure how I’m going to manage that, but I’m starting this blog as a path to discovery of my photographic future.
Close ups are my favorite type of photography; portraits are my weak spot. Nature photography is something I feel well-versed in; though landscapes are not my thing.
Food photography is something that I would really love to get into in the future.
I’m majoring in Graphic Design because I feel that it is a better fit for me than a photography degree and will hopefully serve me well in the future. I don’t have solid plans for the future, but I’m taking it a day at a time.
Something I would really love to do sometime soon is to start talking to professional photographers in my area, and shadowing them, seeing what they do.
If anyone has any suggestions of how to network, or get my work out there, I’d love to hear them. I think I’m going to start entering photography contests, and make a flickr account.

I’ll post a few photos here, so you can get a feel for my work.
